The McDermott Family Line consists of the McDermoitts, the Fitzpatricks, the McHughs, and the Hannons. There is not much about the McDermotts in Ireland with the exception of a marriage and a birth. Much of it starts in England.

The Third Child of John Aloysius McDermott and Elizabeth "Lizzie" White: Elizabeth Helen

Elizabeth Helen was born on 1 Dec 1910 in Chicago, Illinois. She is the third child of John Aloysius McDermott and Elizabeth "Lizzie" White. She is the third daughter.

Elizabeth Helen met and married Herman G. Peschel on 18 Dec 1936.

Helen died on 22 Nov 1967. She was buried on 25 Nov 1967 at St. Mary's Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Illinois. Her obituary states:

Obituary: 1967-11-23, Chicago Tribune (IL) PESCHEL - Helen W. Peschel, nee McDermott, devoted wife of Herman; dear sister of Bernice Blake, Loretta Fitzgibbons, Theresa Paluckis, John McDermott, and Laverne McKinley; daughter-in-law of Mary Peschel. Funeral Saturday, 9 a.m., from Becvar Funeral Directors, 5218 S. Kedzie avenue, to St. Gall church. Interment St. Mary. Visitation Thursday after 2 p.m. PR 6-3809.

Herman was born around 1914. He died around 28 April 1969 and was buried on 30 Apr 1969 at St. Mary's Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Illinois. His obtiuary states:
Obituary: 1969-04-28, Chicago Tribune (IL) PESCHEL - Herman G. Peschel, devoted husband of the late Helen, nee McDermott; dear son of Mary and the late Herman; brother of June Sochor and the late Paul. Funeral Wednesday, 9 a.m., from Becvar Funeral Directors, 5218 S. Kedzie avenue, to St. Gall church. Interment St. Mary's PR 6-3809.
