The McDermott Family Line consists of the McDermoitts, the Fitzpatricks, the McHughs, and the Hannons. There is not much about the McDermotts in Ireland with the exception of a marriage and a birth. Much of it starts in England.

The Seventh Child and the Fourth Daughter of Michael and Mary McDermott: Agnes Josephine

The Gravestone of Anthony & Agnes Ames

Aunt Ag was born on 19 Apr 1891 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the fourth daughter and seventh child of Michael and Mary McDermott.

Aunt Ag met and married Anthony Ames 4 Jun 1915 in Chicago, Illinois. Anthony died in January 1942 at age 54. They had one child, Monica. Agnes remarried Patrick Scanlon.

Aunt Ag died 19 Oct 1971 and was buried on 22 Oct 1971 at St. Mary's Cemetery, Chicago, Cook, Illinois.
