Meskell, S.J., and the late Mary Meskell. Funeral Friday, at 9:30 a.m. from residence, 4006 Nelson St. to St. Viator church. Interment Mount Carmel. Yards 0662."
William worked as a waiter at a hotel at Lake Wawasee in Warsaw, Indiana. He was killed in a fight by another waiter, Lloyd Ketring. Lloyd was trying to act as a peacemaker, according to the Chicago Tribune article. Ketring was sentenced from 2 to 21 years.
